Privacy / plain language

We explain what we collect and why.

Cinderstrike uses first-party site analytics to understand traffic and stores consultation information when you ask us to respond. We do not sell visitor or consultation data.

Site analytics

Public page visits may record the page, time, referring site, public IP address, approximate city/region/country, browser, operating system, device type, user agent, language, time zone, and screen or viewport size. The public address is supplied through our web proxy; private Docker and proxy addresses are discarded. Approximate location is calculated locally on our server, and visitor IP addresses are not sent to an outside analytics provider.

Analytics does not use a cross-site tracking cookie. A temporary browser-session identifier helps estimate sessions. Admin and API routes are excluded, and browsers that send Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track are not recorded by the page tracker.

Consultation information

Name, contact details, organization, service interest, planning range, and the message you choose to send. A one-way hash derived from the source address is retained for short-term abuse prevention.

Retention and access

Analytics detail, including IP addresses, is visible only through the protected administrative area and is automatically deleted after 90 days. Consultation records are also restricted to the administrative area and are retained only as long as needed for business and legal purposes.

Questions

Use the consultation form for privacy questions or deletion requests. Include “privacy request” in the message.
